First off, the quality is definitely there! Well made with good balance. Frank James carried a pair of these while with his brother Jessie and their gang. And if you read The Shootist By Glendon Swarthout that John Wayne’s last movie was taken from, JB Books actually carried two of these Remington 1875’s. BUT, with 5 1/2 inch barrels, Nickle plated. One grip in perloid, the other plain black grips. .45lc as well. So it’d be great if you could produce a version with 5.5" barrel, and some perloid & black grips. It’d be great to carry the pistols JB Books actually used in the novel.

Nice replica, nice sound when cocking the hammer.

Good overall quality. Close to weight and feel of real thing. Long barrel aids accuracy (only shoot pellets) on 21’ indoor range yielding 1/2 in groups. Good trigger pull. Love that it comes apart. Occasionally fires but pellet doesn’t clear shell. Haven’t conclusively determine why but possibly ammo or shell center retention material related. Overall so much fun to shoot had to purchased a second one for dual handed old west shooting.

I bought one a few years ago and used it a LOT. I don’t think I’d be exaggerating if I said around 20,000 shots. Mine is the dual ammo version. Powerful enough for rodent control, a lot handier than my break barrel rifle and the accuracy was excellent. I’ve been buying and shooting air guns handy 50 years and this ones my fave. Umarex makes a slightly better "quality" feeling gun, but the gas system isn’t nearly as good or efficient as the Remington. Had 4 Umarex, returned every one. Only issue with my gun now is that the gas won’t release to fire. Considering the usage, I figure I’ve gotten my money’s worth easy enough. Hoping to get it fixed soon and continue shooting

The Remington 1875 is a great historic replica revolver. I love the mechanical accuracy and heft of it. It’s a great shooter and an all time favorite pop can plinker in my collection. I would love to see a blued or weathered version with faux wood or black grips.

  7. Leroy B. Vaughn

I bought this revolver two years ago because I could no longer use my pump master .177 because of arthritis. I was out in my backyard this morning shooting bb’s into the bullseye.
This piece shoots straight every time. Has a good feel. The weight and balance are similar to my single action .22 revolvers.

Already possessing a Webley revolver, I wanted something that looked a little more Old West. I liked the idea of the replica Remington as it wasn’t as popular an item as the Colt back in the day, so it had a more rare feel to it.
Once I got hold of it from a local gun store near to me, I was immediately happy with it. Great feel. Good weight. Lovely sounding as the hammer comes back. While of course not as easy to reload as my Webley, it is a historical piece and accurate to that.
When firing it is accurate and smooth. It is not a competition piece, but it is great for garden can shooting or target practise. I haven’t used it on vermin but I am sure it could do the job if you got a good shot off.
    Highly recommended piece.

  9. Barry lee

My first pistol it is as real as it gets the wight and feel is top notch and for the price it is superb i am thinking of buying anuther pistol

  10. Harvey Minnick

Most excellent! I love the look and feel of this gun. So much that I own two of them. One of them got damaged due to a fall, and Crossmen’s service whent way beyond what I expected them to do to remady the problem. They did a first rate job!

  11. PAUL EDWARDS

The metal construction of this revolver gives it the look, feel, and sound (minus the gunfire) of the original classic single-action Remington. The size and handling is similar as well…and it is a great way to keep up the practice without the high cost of ammunition! Stock up on BBs, Pellets, and CO2 because this one is so much fun, it’s hard to stop plinking!
