VERY excited about this new 362 model. My hope was a 392 or 397, but suppression is not possible because of the stubby barrel. I recently finished building up a 1377 into a rifle with 24" Maximius barrel, shoulder stock. steel breech, pump handle extension, scope, and TKO. Plinking targets, small lizards and rodents is pretty easy and quiet at 600+ fps and 10.3 gr.. It will be great to be able to begin that kind of project with a true rifle frame! Now if someone would just bring the Crosman Custom Shop back to life…

  2. Dennis

Arrived with rear sight sticking out through the box better packing needed front sight fell off after 5 shots once that was tightened up and all the screws on rear sight got tightened up it shot 5 pellets same hole 15 yards trigger is great pump effort great report not bad would recommend checking all screws before use will buy a steel breech kit for scope later feel like it needs fiber optic front sight over all I am pleased

  3. Tom Rife

Just got my 362 today. Took it out of the box, cleaned the bore and took about 15 break in shots. Hung a fresh target @ 10 meters and it made one ragged hole which I could cover with a penny! Used factory peep, Excite Hammer pellets, and 3 pumps. SWEET!

  4. William Ferguson

Overall, I am happy with this rifle. I don’t really care for the sights and would have preferred the fiber optic sight like the 2100. Also, when pumping the rifle, you had better pay attention to where your fingers are or else expect to get pinched. The forearm fits flush against the front of the receiver and it is very easy to let your pinky stray into this pinch point. The trigger requires a bit too much force (similar to the 2100) and I sometimes pull the barrel slightly to the right when firing. With that said, it is powerful and fun to shoot. I was not expecting this to be a premium rifle at this price point, but there are some things that could be improved.

  5. charles buckles

a little rifle a 10 year can shoot with two pumps is @ 8 pumps 85% of average 22 pcp, out of the box a lot of fun solid and tighter than it looks bone stock peep sight amazingly decent to ten yards, trigger better than expected accuracy is half inch @ 10 yards or better, recoilless Thanx crosman 50 shots in a bit more work but versatile and does a lot for a little and offers room for improvement.

  6. Rich

This is a very handy carbine that is easy to pump and appears to have been built with durability in mind. Very solid build quality. I was pleased to see a rugged metal pump piston rod when I opened the pump handle. The longer pump tube and lever (compared to the 1377 and 1322 with which it shares parts) really does give greater power AND easier pumping effort! The Crosman steel breech for the 1322 will fit this model (although on my example the rear sight screw needed to be slightly shortened to prevent interference with the hammer). I mounted a Williams peep sight and am very impressed with the accuracy obtained. No recoil, and this rifle seems as if it will last many years provided care is taken to follow the instructions (the metal internal parts remind me of my Dad’s Crosman 130 which he purchased way back in 1966 and is still going strong, btw). Great shooting fun for the whole family!

  7. Mike

It’s a hard shooting gun for the price. Pellets are difficult to load though. They hang up on the breech screw, then again on the way in the barrel. The crown on the barrel has a bit of a ding on it that probably lessens accuracy. Holding the grip while pumping is pretty dang uncomfortable, it was made for little hands.

  8. Eric Jones

The stock has great balance and shoulders well.
The pump arm offers a bit more leverage than the 1322
The trigger isn’t bad considering the very low cost of thdisappointed.
Adding a steel breech is easy, and will allow use of a scope.
The stated velocities are spot on, I applaud Crosman for being honest.
Overall I am very impressed with the quality and forethought that went into the making of this multi pump air rifle. I highly recommend adding one to your air arsenal, you won’t be dissapointed.

  9. Dan

Pretty much dead on out of the box at 15yds.
Hit with a solid WHAP! on 8 pumps.
Backed up to 25yds, tweaked in the sights, and had a respectable group in no time with the peep.
My chronograph showed 513fps AT 25yds!, NOT the muzzle!
At 25yds this 362 hits harder than my 1322 at the muzzle!
    That’s power.
You’ll get low 600s at the muzzle with normal lead pellets.
    Those are true figures.
    Again, that’s power.
    Feels good in hand.
    Looks good.
    Hits hard.
    Reasonable price.
Assembled in US, so at least some of my money went to
    help a family here.
I’m very pleased, and will buy another I promise.
    You will too.
    I own number 00371

I haven’t had this much fun in years. I’ve shot more pellets thru this in gun in one week then I’ve shot thru all my others all year. It’s a great little squirrel hunting rifle. I’ve added a steel breech and scope to my first one and can put 15.89gr pellets to the mark at 68’. I’ve ordered another one to keep open sights on. Lots of tinkering and tons of shooting fun for me.
Out of the box it’s a great gun for an advanced jr shooter. Hopefully colored synthetic and wood stock options will be available. Crosman may have a winner with this one.

  11. Randy Evans

Received from Crosman a few weeks ago. Straight shooter right out of the box. Love the trigger. Peep sight a little hard on this old man’s eyes. Put a dab of white out on front post. problem solved. Great for plinking, or small game. Pump is a little loud for hunting though so make sure your pumped up at a fair distance before you stalk your game. Rifle is light and draws easily up to the shoulder. For the money this is a winner.

  12. S. C. Parks

Pumping effort is moderate – any active person more than ten years old should be able to handle it. The factory peep sights are simple, easy to use, and accurate. The plastic stock is well designed and functional. Metal parts are nicely finished and blued. Pumping action feels solid and durable.
Not as fancy as my 1990s vintage Benjamin 392, but just as accurate and powerful. The Crosman 362 is a great air rifle for the price. If you want the variable power, lack of recoil, and accuracy of a multi pump air rifle, get one.

  13. Richard Lange

Out of the box it’s very light. I added the steel breech, 6x scope and it weighs a bit more. This is what I wanted my older 1322s to grow into. I’m happy with power and accuracy after 100rds. The extra leverage when pumping is nice.

  14. j

Value check Accuracy check Quality could use another washer or be tighter on the one that is at the pivot point of the pump arm the pump moves side to side quite a bit and a steel breach would be nice but other than that great gun spot on out of the box hits hard. Again for the price its a winner for sure.

  15. Mark Wilson

I love this gun !!! Cleaned the barrel first thing – then sighted it in – tight shot group – very accurate – much more power than my rebuilt 2200 !!!

  16. Tim

Have bought two so far. Put steel breeches on them. Williams peep sight on one & 4x scope on second one. One ragged hole at 50’ with scoped rifle. Very powerful and phenomenal value. You have a winner with this one, Crosman. It’s the perfect size for a 10 year old, and easy for him to recharge & load. Looking forward to some variations to this model going forward. This would make a perfect “custom shop” platform to work from.

  17. Yu

Shot great for the first 5 shots and some pin located behind the bolt kicked up locking the gun up, making it useless. I expected better from Crossman. Now how do I repair this? I pumped it 5 times last night, when it locked up…

  18. Boroughs

The rifle came with nothing that needed to be tightened. The sight needed to be moved all the way to the left to sight it in. I purchased a steel breech and a Williams peep sight. It shoots great with lots of power in its as built configuration but I added a 24 inch barrel and got 60 more feet per second (oops so much for the warranty). Its easy to pump up and accurate. A worthy successor to Crosman 22 pump ups of the past.

  19. alan

I love this rifle. Great for country life.

First, I want to say “Good job Crosman” for producing an inexpensive but high quality air rifle. Secondly, some background information on why I purchased this air rifle. I (we) have a rodent problem; squirrels and rabbits are tearing up my wife’s garden. My go to rifle for this problem, my nearly 10-year-old Benjamin 397 blew a seal. I drove nearly two hours to drop off the rifle to an air gun technician and he stated he had an eight-week backlog. I needed an air rifle now! I went to the Pyramid Air (PA) and Crosman websites to look for an inexpensive replacement until my Benjamin came back from the shop. After reading all the positive reviews for the 362 I decided it was the rifle to get. I placed an order with PA and they sent me the rifle. Unfortunately, it was defective and I had to return it to PA for a replacement which they promptly sent to me. My hat is off to PA for such great customer service.

Now for my test results and analysis of the rifle. I fired three different types of Crosman pellets at a target set at 10 yards. I used the stock peep sight that came with the rifle. Here are the results:

    • 14.3 gr Crosman Premier HP – average velocity of 680.2 fps; average energy of 14.7 fpe; accuracy of 1” c-t-c.
    • 16.3 gr Crosman Power Shot-Red – average velocity of 638 fps; average energy of 14.7 fpe; accuracy of 0.75” c-t-c.
    • 14.3 gr Crosman Premier Pointed – average velocity of 677.8 fps; average energy of 14.6 fpe; accuracy of 1” c-t-c.

The above results show the rifle performs consistently and is definitely powerful enough for pest control. This rifle is now going to be my go to rifle

The stock and forearm are synthetic, but sturdy. Pumping the rifle is noisy (noisier than firing the rifle itself) but the forearm can be padded to minimize the noise when pumping the rifle. Overall the construction of this rifle is of very good quality.

The instruction manual for the 362 states that only Crosman pellets are recommended for this rifle. I fired a couple of Gamo and Beeman pellets and they fired with no problems. But it takes a little more effort to insert them into the breech. The steel breech kit that Crosman makes fits this rifle and would open it up to firing a variety of other pellets as well as allowing for mounting of different types of optics, such as a scope or dot sight.

I would recommend this rifle to anyone looking for a quality air rifle at a reasonable price.

  21. B

Long story short, this is an excellent rifle. It’s got power (close to 700 fps with lead pellets), easy to pump, good materials, it’s relatively light and compact, the peep sight looks basic but gets the job done (glad they didn’t put a hokey fiber optic with less precision because we’re trying to shoot chipmunks, not deer), upgradeable if you want a metal breech, and it comes in at very nice price for what you get.
In terms of CQI, I would highly suggest Crosman add a metal trigger. We see it’s possible as on the anniversary edition and it drastically improves the feel of shooting. Oh, and maybe a slightly oversized brass bolt like they had on the 2260, really suits this gun well.

  22. Bruce Letts

! love the gun my Crosman 362! Couldn’t sight it in. Upon closer inspection, it turns out the barrel was slightly bent down and to the left. Sally Schinsing sschinsing@crosman.com was kind enough to send me a paid shipping label and I returned the gun on June 12. Please verify that a new one is on the way. Thanks!

  23. Rick

I ordered my 362 directly from Crosman, along with the ‘steel breech kit,’ so I could install a scope. My rifle arrived with a small problem from rough handling somewhere, but Crosman customer service promptly sent me a replacement part. I’m using JSB Match Diabolo 14.35 grain, and I’m keeping them in an inch at 25 yards at 6 pumps, which I am more than happy with, especially since I bought it during a good sale.

  24. Robert Kraft

I bought the crosman 362 so i could hit rabbits further out than i can with my crosman P1322 (.22 pistol).
Only to find out the P1322 is far more accurate.

  25. Robert

I bought the crosman 362 so i could hit rabbits further out than i can with my crosman P1322 (.22 pistol).
Only to find out the P1322 is far more accurate.
Sighted the rifle in at 40ft, and 4 of us fired about 19 rounds at a rabbit 50-60 feet. it eventually walked away….

  26. Douglas DeFay

Did not immediately unpack, but upon removing from box and reading enclosed material, it was discovered that the bolt cannot be moved the required distance to load rifle. It appears that a pin/stop is extended above the trigger assembly and protrudes into this area restricting bolt travel. No info in included materials. Gun seems to be on back orders and would prefer not to send a NEW unit back to Crosman. Any help or diagrams on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

  27. Jirair Abassian

Had to return my first order of the Crosman 362 back to Crosman as it was not shooting right out of the box, must have been a defect. After shipping back the order on my own expense $30 a new one was shipped and has been working great.

That said I really like the small size of the rifle and the punch it has. Has been great for small game.

  28. Douglas Winters

    Fun shooting gun

  29. Michael Strowbridge

I love Crosman. They ship quick and have great sales. This 362 is great for rats. The variable pump action allows you control the power of the gun. The look and feel are so great. You cannot find a full length stock anywhere. It is packable and carries well in your hand. The punch is formidable.
